This WC module, fitted with a washing unit, is an independently operating unit with features that guarantee the performance of special tasks related to unattended toilets a with service space, above all, public toilets. Flushing is started with hand proximity. Users hold their hands in front of a sensor, as shown by a pictogram.

The system performs functions marked with (*), that is, functions related to water outage, blockage or frost risk only if equipped with an entry and/or communication module. In case of water outage or blockage, the entry module closes the toilet; it does nor accept coins, and the door does not open/cannot be opened. If the toilet is fitted with a communication module, the operator receives information on the malfunction.
The entry module also ensures that when a coin is inserted, the system – to facilitate a more efficient flushing – performs a wetting pre-flushing and, after the user leaves, a safety post-flushing operation. This process is intended to ensure that the toilet is properly cleaned before the next user enters.

To operate the WC washing function, an entry module and a lamp module need to be installed.
After the user leaves the toilet and the user area door is closed, the entry module starts a washing cycle. A cycle consist of WC washing, the blow down of water, and floor washing. The frequency of the washing cycle can be freely defined using the entry module. The system may perform a washing cycle after each use of after a given number of uses. During the washing cycle, the toilet is in maintenance mode: it does not accept coins, the pictogram indicates that the toilet is occupied, and the TFT display indicates maintenance status.

For uninterrupted operation, the water supply of the module needs to be provided from a central water filter. The power of the independently controlled hot air blower installed with the handwash unitis a fixed parameter; therefore, the thermal insulation of the building needs to be designed to ensure that the required temperature can be maintained in the toilet. If required, floor, ceiling and threshold heating need to be provided.
