This WC module is an independently operating unit with features that guarantee the performance of special tasks related to unattended toilets with a service space and, above all, public toilets. Flushing is started with hand proximity. Users hold their hands in front of a sensor, as shown by a pictogram.

The system performs the functions marked with (*), that is, the functions related to water outage, blockage or frost risks only if equipped with an entry and/or communication module. In case of water outage or blockage, the entry module closes the toilet; it does nor accept coins, and the door does not open/cannot be opened. If the toilet is fitted with a communication module, the operator can receive information on the malfunction.
The entry module also ensures that when a coin is inserted, the system – to facilitate a more efficient flushing – performs a wetting pre-flushing and, after the user leaves, a safety post-flushing operation. This process is intended to ensure that the toilet is properly cleaned before the next user enters.

For uninterrupted operation, the water supply of the module needs to be provided from a central water filter. The power of the independently controlled hot air blower installed with the handwash unitis a fixed parameter; therefore, the thermal insulation of the building needs to be designed to ensure that the required temperature can be maintained in the toilet. If required, floor, ceiling and threshold heating need to be provided.
